Opening Lightroom Classic can sometimes feel like you're wading through a swamp of files and features. You've got these lovely photos and creative ideas, but instead, you're stuck sorting and syncing.
It's frustrating when the tool that's supposed to help ends up slowing you down or, worse yet, stifling your creativity.
Effortless Access to All your Photos
Say goodbye to the tedious process of importing photos. With Adobe Lightroom's streamlined approach, you can directly browse and edit images from your hard drive or external storage. This means you can dive straight into editing the moment inspiration strikes.
It's straightforward and user-friendly, and it lets you focus on your photos.
Plus, syncing to the cloud is optional.
In this short, easy-to-complete course, I'll walk you through my recommended workflow using Adobe Lightroom.
P.S.
This course will focus on workflow. However, I will take you through the powerful (yet streamlined) editing interface.
Think of this as a no-stress transition. You won't have to uproot, delete, or shift anything around. I'm not here to tell you to migrate your entire catalog from Lightroom Classic to somewhere new. Instead, I'm offering you to a straightforward, no-stress workflow for the future.
Launch Lightroom, navigate through your existing folders on your drives and get down to the creative part – editing and sharing your photos!
What about Lightroom Classic?
It stays just as it is, safe and sound, with all your hard work intact.

Yes, a few features are missing in Lightroom Desktop.
Here is a list of the key missing features:
1. Book, Slideshow, Print, Web and maps module
2. Export Presets (but there are options for export)
3. Hierarchical Keywords.
4. Smart Collections
5. Plug-in Support
6. Renaming Tools

But even with the 'missing' features I believe the pros outweigh the cons.
Nope.
In this workflow, the cloud is totally up to you. I'm all about flexibility, so I'll show you a hybrid approach. Think of it like this: most of your photos will live on your hard drive, but you also get to pick some favorites to live in the cloud. That way, you can access them from any device, anytime. It’s like having the best of both worlds.
This is strictly a workflow course.
I will give you an overview of the develop tools but this course is designed with workflow in mind.
Yes! Adobe Lightroom is missing some of the Lightroom Classic features we've come to know, but I believe the pros outweigh the cons, which I will cover in the course.
Best part:
You can explore this new workflow without giving up Lightroom Classic. (that's what I did at first).
But be warned, you might find you don't miss it as much as you thought.
And note to worry, Lightroom Classic will still be there for you.
(At least for a few more years).
In fact, it's totally possible to go hybrid.
